Borough, SE1. In the 17th century, it became the second largest urban area in England with river moorings at a premium and many new wharfs and warehouses being built. But while many of these buildings have now been replaced with 21st century architecture others have been redeveloped for residential use. This has brought an influx of new inhabitants along with businesses and retailers catering to their every need; there's a lot more going on in Borough than the market.
