The man, the films, those blondes. Free DVD collection starting this Sunday
Designer Mary Quant started out here, making the mini skirt that made her name and the King’s Road swing in the 1960s. By the 70’s they had moved north to the benches of Sloane Square, Chelsea became home of the punk. Now, of course, the only ripped jeans you’ll see in Chelsea are designer ones; the area is packed with the kind of upmarket boutiques where customers never look at price tags. So where do the well-heeled like to shop?

You start by telling us about artists and there strong influence in this wonderful area of London, but you foget to mention one of the oldest shops on the Kings Rd. One which helped the artists gain the regional reputation. That is Green & Stone (www.greenandstone.com) I've been going there since I can remember and its fantastically authentic & unpretentous and the staff are increadibly kind and helpful!
