First up is Julien Macdonald, 37, who, says my source, wants “something beautiful”, with great sea views, that is modern and has lots of outdoor space with room for entertaining. He has upwards of €3m to spend. Then there’s Roberto Cavalli, who’s hoping that his €10m-plus budget will stretch to seclusion and somewhere with a nice view of his yacht. Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are looking for two “enormous estates for more than €20m”. And finally, Leonardo DiCaprio is searching for a countryside pad with sea views. Okay, he’s not a designer, but he’s no stranger to dating supermodels.

CHEAP AT TWICE THE PRICE?

Will the Wheel of Fortune be spinning for John Leslie? The former television presenter hopes to double his money on a mansion in Morningside, Edinburgh. He wants £2.5m for the renovated eight-bedroom property, bought in 2006 for £1.25m. Leslie, 44, turned property developer after losing his job on ITV’s This Morning in 2002 over allegations about his sex life.

BEN THERE, SEEN THAT

They seem to have looked at every £10m-plus property in California, but Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner may finally be about to buy. They are believed to have set their sights on a five-bedroom, 8,798 sq ft home in Pacific Palisades, LA, on the market for £17.7m. The property includes an annexe with an office, an art studio, a gym and a guesthouse hidden beneath the lawn.
