This brilliant, funny Hong Kong thriller puts Hollywood to shame. A rookie cop enlists the aid of the former homicide detective Bun (Lau) to solve a murder case involving a missing policeman and his stolen gun. Bun works through emotional empathy with the victims – to find a body in the woods, he buries himself. What’s more, he claims he can see people’s inner selves, a gift that gets a full workout when he meets the dodgy detective Chi-Wai (Lam), with his seven multiple personalities. To complicate matters further, Bun may have second sight, but he is also as batty as a bag of frogs.
